Mobile robots are more and more used in our daily life, like fire fighting robot, rescue robot, delivery robot, etc. They should be able to move in complex three dimensional (3D) environments, e.g. fly in indoor and outdoor 3D spaces, run across 3D ground spaces, move under 3D water spaces.
However, it is a challenge problem to navigate robots from place A to place B under large, dynamic, complex 3D indoor and outdoor GPS-denied environments.
We focus on develop brain-inspired cognitive navigation technologies, which can overcome these challenge problems. These novel technologies can navigate robots under complex environments.
